Haggerty Pools Founder - R.W. Haggerty, Jr.
Richard W. Haggerty, Jr. started his own business in 1956, R.W. Haggerty Pool of Stamford Connecticut. He was a long time sponsor of Stamford Youth Hockey, North Stamford Little League, Stamford Senior Babe Ruth and many other youth organizations. He also served as VP of 16 to 18, Babe Ruth Baseball and was a former member of Tamarack Country Club. He played for the Burtenwood Air Force Baseball team while serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War in the European Professional League. He was a baseball player for the Stamford Advocate Baseball Team and Stamford High School Championship Teams, and played professional baseball for the Cleveland Indians, Boston and Milwaukee Braves.
Sons Roger and Mickey have continued the legacy, servicing, restoring, and building new swimming pools and spas across Fairfield County Connecticut and Westchester County New York.
